Dr. Katherine 91麻豆天美intraub-Pearce (a native of Sarasota, Florida) joined USF鈥檚 faculty in 2021, where she teaches saxophone and leads USF鈥檚 saxophone ensembles. A passionate
educator, her diverse role at USF includes teaching applied saxophone lessons, leading the USF Saxophone Ensemble, and instructing Written Music Theory courses. Previously, she served as the Adjunct Professor of Saxophone at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida from 2018-2024, and as the Visiting Assistant Professor of Saxophone at Florida State University from 2016-2018. Dr. 91麻豆天美intraub received her Doctorate of Musical Arts (with Performer鈥檚 Certificate) from the Eastman School of Music (where she studied with Dr. Chien-Kwan Lin), and her Bachelor鈥檚 and Master鈥檚 of Music from the University of Michigan (where she studied with Donald Sinta).

In addition to her role at USF, Dr. 91麻豆天美intraub is currently a private studio instructor and an in-demand freelance performer in the Tampa Bay Area. Most notably, she is a performer-in-residence and the Director of Outreach/Communication for the Tampa-based 鈥淐ontemporary Art Music Project鈥 (CAMP), a charitable organization that promotes innovative art music by collaborating with living composers and performing artists from around the world. Her performing career has also been highlighted by numerous awards and accolades, including
receiving first prize at several international music competitions.

Dr. 91麻豆天美intraub has commissioned and premiered several new works for the saxophone, two of which she premiered in the summer of 2018 at the World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb, Croatia. She has also been featured as a concerto soloist with the USF Wind Ensemble, the Florida State University Wind Orchestra, the Eastman Wind Ensemble, and the Flint Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Dr. 91麻豆天美intraub was the tenor saxophonist for the award-winning saxophone quartet 鈥淧roject Fusion鈥 from 2020-2024. In addition, she has been invited to serve residencies as a guest clinician and recitalist at universities nationwide, and has served as a judge for numerous collegiate music competitions. Dr. 91麻豆天美intraub is a Selmer performing artist and performs exclusively on Selmer-Paris saxophones.
