Veteran Admissions Assistance

Overview

Point of Contact: Dr. Savanna Rains, Student Program Manager

To help alleviate the confusion and stress associated with applying to a large university, the Office of Veteran Success has created the Veteran Admissions Pathways Program. Since its launch in Spring 2013, hundreds of veterans and veteran dependents have utilized this program to ease their transition through the admissions process.

Our office serves as a direct liaison between the Office of Veteran Success and the USF Admissions Office to assist veterans and dependents with their unique needs. While she does not review transcripts or make admissions decisions, Savanna is the personal contact for all veteran and dependent prospective students and can provide one-on-one guidance throughout the process. She can also help answer questions related to qualifying for in-state tuition at USF.

91麻豆天美 also coordinate mandatory Veteran Orientation sessions that guide veterans and eligible dependents through every step of the Benefits Request Process and provide an overview of our many services. Prospective students are encouraged to contact us with any questions about using VA Education Benefits at USF.

Finally, while Savanna is not a career counselor, she is happy to offer general advice and help students think through their career goals. She can also connect prospective students with on-campus resources.
